24Hr Mobile Tyres Fitting In Canterbury
Flat, punctured or damaged tyre? Kent Mobile Tyre Services provides 24/7 mobile tyre fitting in Canterbury and surrounding CT1–CT4 areas.
Our mobile tyre fitters come to your home, workplace, car park or safe roadside location. Canterbury forms part of our wider mobile tyre fitting coverage across Kent, with local call-outs available subject to tyre stock, fitter availability and safe vehicle access. We inspect the tyre, assess whether it can be repaired and supply a compatible replacement when repair is not safe or possible.
There is no need to risk driving on a damaged tyre or arrange transport to a garage. Send us your location, vehicle registration and tyre size to receive suitable tyre options, an upfront quotation and a current estimated arrival time.
Emergency Mobile Tyre Assistance Across CT1–CT4
A tyre failure can happen at any time. You might find a flat tyre outside your home in Wincheap, notice a tyre-pressure warning while driving through Canterbury or discover a nail in the tread when leaving work.
Our 24-hour tyre call-out service can help with:
- Flat and punctured tyres
- Emergency tyre replacement
- Nail and screw punctures
- Slow air loss
- Damaged tyre valves
- Worn or unsafe tread
- Tyre sidewall damage
- Tyre-pressure warning lights
- Out-of-hours tyre problems
- Tyre fitting at home or work
- Tyre-related roadside assistance
Emergency attendance is subject to fitter availability, suitable tyre stock, local traffic, weather and safe access to the vehicle. Contact us with your exact postcode or shared location for a current estimated arrival time.
If the vehicle is in a dangerous position or exposed to live traffic, prioritise your safety. Switch on the hazard warning lights, move away from the carriageway where possible and contact the appropriate breakdown, highway or emergency service when necessary.
Mobile Tyre Services We Provide
Mobile Tyre Replacement
If your tyre cannot be repaired safely, we can supply and fit a suitable replacement at your location.
Before offering a tyre, we check important specifications such as the tyre width, aspect ratio, radial construction, wheel diameter, load index and speed rating. We also consider whether the vehicle requires an XL, reinforced, run-flat or other specialist specification.
Replacement options may include budget, mid-range and premium tyres, subject to your tyre size and current stock.
Mobile Puncture Repair
Not every punctured tyre needs to be replaced. A repair may be possible when the puncture is located within the permitted central tread repair area and the tyre remains structurally sound.
Our mobile puncture repair service begins with an assessment of the damage and the tyre’s overall condition. The tyre may need to be removed from the wheel so its internal structure can be examined properly.
A repair cannot be approved from a photograph or telephone description alone. The final decision must be made after inspection.
Mobile Wheel Balancing
A newly fitted tyre may require balancing to distribute weight evenly around the tyre and wheel assembly.
Incorrect balance can contribute to:
- Steering-wheel vibration
- Vibration through the seat or floor
- Uneven tyre wear
- Reduced driving comfort
- Additional strain on suspension components
Our mobile wheel-balancing service uses balancing equipment and wheel weights to correct uneven weight distribution where the vehicle and wheel are suitable for mobile service.
Wheel balancing is different from wheel alignment. Balancing concerns the tyre and wheel assembly, while alignment changes the angles at which the wheels sit. Wheel alignment may require separate workshop equipment.
TPMS and Sensor Valve Support
Many modern vehicles use a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, or TPMS, to alert the driver when tyre pressure falls.
A warning light may be connected to:
- Low tyre pressure
- A leaking valve
- A damaged valve stem or valve core
- A faulty TPMS sensor
- A depleted sensor battery
- A punctured tyre
- A system fault requiring diagnosis
Where suitable, our TPMS sensor valve service may help with damaged or leaking sensor valves.
Not every TPMS warning can be resolved on-site. Some vehicles require model-specific diagnostic equipment, sensor programming, relearning or a system reset.
Can Your Punctured Tyre Be Repaired?
Whether a puncture can be repaired depends on its position, size and type, as well as the condition of the entire tyre.
A permanent puncture repair may be possible when:
- The damage is within the permitted central tread area
- The puncture falls within applicable repair limits
- The internal tyre structure remains intact
- The tyre has sufficient legal tread depth
- There is no dangerous sidewall or shoulder damage
- The tyre has not been driven while severely underinflated
- A previous repair does not make another repair unsuitable
Replacement will usually be required when:
- The sidewall is punctured, split or cut
- The tyre shoulder is damaged
- A bulge or blister is visible
- Internal cords are exposed or damaged
- The tyre bead has been damaged
- There is evidence of tread separation
- The tread is below the legal minimum
- The tyre has serious cracking or deterioration
- Driving while flat has damaged the internal structure
- A previous repair makes another repair unsafe
Air loss does not always come from a tread puncture. A leaking tyre valve, damaged rim or poor seal between the tyre and wheel can cause similar symptoms. The source of the leak should therefore be identified before a repair or replacement is recommended.
What Our Mobile Tyre Fitting Includes
Depending on the vehicle, tyre and agreed service, a mobile tyre fitting appointment may include:
- Initial tyre and damage inspection
- Confirmation of the required tyre specification
- Safe positioning and lifting of the vehicle
- Removal of the wheel
- Removal of the damaged tyre
- Inspection of the wheel rim and tyre bead area
- Fitting of a compatible replacement tyre
- Inspection or replacement of the tyre valve
- Wheel balancing where applicable
- Inflation to the recommended pressure
- TPMS consideration where applicable
- Correct refitting of the wheel
- Tightening of wheel nuts to the appropriate torque
- Final pressure and safety checks
- Collection of the removed tyre for responsible disposal
The exact work required will depend on the tyre’s condition, wheel design, vehicle specification and safe access around the vehicle.
How Mobile Tyre Fitting Works
1. Check Your Tyre Details
Find the tyre size printed on the sidewall. It will appear in a format similar to 205/55 R16 91V.
If you can do so safely, send us a clear photograph showing the complete tyre-size markings and visible damage.
2. Send Your Vehicle and Location Information
Provide:
- Your exact postcode or shared location
- Vehicle registration number
- Vehicle make and model
- Tyre size
- Number of tyres required
- Photograph or description of the damage
- Preferred budget or tyre range
- Whether the vehicle has locking wheel nuts
- Whether the locking wheel nut key is available
3. Receive Available Tyre Options
We check the required specification and current tyre availability. Depending on stock, we may offer budget, mid-range or premium options compatible with your vehicle.
The quotation should explain the agreed tyre, fitting and applicable call-out costs before dispatch.
4. Receive an Estimated Arrival Time
The estimated arrival time depends on your location, current traffic, tyre availability, fitter location, weather and call-out demand.
Arrival times should be presented as estimates rather than guarantees because roadside and traffic conditions can change.
5. The Fitter Inspects the Tyre
On arrival, the mobile tyre fitter assesses the tread, sidewall, tyre shoulder, valve, wheel rim and visible damage. The tyre may be removed for an internal inspection if puncture repair is being considered.
6. The Tyre Is Repaired or Replaced
If a permanent repair is safe and appropriate, the puncture may be repaired. If the tyre is structurally damaged or outside repair limits, a compatible replacement will be fitted.
7. Final Checks Are Completed
The fitter checks the tyre pressure, valve, wheel fitment and other relevant safety points before returning the vehicle to you.
Choosing the Correct Replacement Tyre
Tyres are not selected by wheel diameter alone. A compatible replacement must meet the vehicle’s required dimensions and performance specifications.
For example, 205/55 R16 91V identifies:
- 205: Tyre width in millimetres
- 55: Aspect ratio or profile
- R: Radial construction
- 16: Wheel diameter in inches
- 91: Load index
- V: Speed rating
Other relevant markings may identify an XL or reinforced tyre, run-flat construction or manufacturer-specific original equipment specification.
Some vehicles use different front and rear tyre sizes, known as staggered fitment. Electric vehicles, heavier SUVs and light commercial vehicles may also have particular load, construction or compatibility requirements.
Never select a replacement tyre based only on price or brand. Its size, load index, speed rating and other specifications must be suitable for the vehicle.
Tyres for Cars, Vans, SUVs and EVs
We support a range of cars and light commercial vehicles, subject to tyre size, vehicle weight, wheel design, safe access and mobile equipment requirements.
Vehicle types may include:
- Hatchbacks
- Saloons
- Estates
- SUVs
- 4×4 vehicles
- Small vans
- Light commercial vehicles
- Taxis and private-hire vehicles
- Company and fleet vehicles

- Electric vehicles
Available tyre categories may include:
- New budget tyres
- Mid-range tyres
- Premium tyres
- Summer tyres
- All-season tyres
- Winter tyres
- Run-flat tyres
- Reinforced or XL tyres
- SUV tyres
- Van tyres
- EV-compatible tyres
Brands may include Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Pirelli, Hankook and Yokohama, subject to the required size and current tyre availability.
Caravans, trailers, classic cars, unusual wheel sizes and other specialist vehicles must be confirmed before dispatch. Their weight, construction and fitting requirements may differ from those of standard passenger vehicles.

What to Send When Requesting a Quote
To help us identify a compatible tyre and avoid unnecessary delays, send:
- Full postcode or shared location
- Vehicle registration number
- Vehicle make and model
- Complete tyre size
- Number of tyres required
- Photograph of the tyre-size markings
- Photograph of the damage
- Preferred budget or tyre brand
- Whether the vehicle has locking wheel nuts
- Confirmation that the locking wheel nut key is available
- Whether the vehicle is at home, work or roadside
If you cannot identify the tyre size, send a clear sidewall photograph. Do not enter live traffic or place yourself in danger to inspect or photograph a tyre.
Tyre Safety and Legal Tread Depth
For most cars and light vans in the UK, tyres must have at least 1.6 mm of tread across the central three-quarters of the tread and around the entire circumference.
Tyres should also:
- Be inflated to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended pressure
- Be free from dangerous cuts, bulges and exposed cords
- Have no serious sidewall or shoulder damage
- Be compatible with the wheel and vehicle
- Show no signs of major structural deterioration
If a tyre suddenly loses pressure, avoid harsh steering or braking. Stop in a safe location as soon as possible and switch on your hazard warning lights.
Do not attempt a roadside tyre change where you would be exposed to moving traffic. If the vehicle is on a motorway, fast dual carriageway or otherwise dangerous road, follow the relevant highway safety guidance and contact the appropriate breakdown or emergency service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is mobile tyre fitting available 24/7 in Canterbury?
Yes. Kent Mobile Tyre Services offers 24-hour tyre call-outs across Canterbury and surrounding CT1–CT4 areas, subject to fitter availability, tyre stock and safe access.
How quickly can a fitter reach me?
Arrival times depend on your exact location, traffic, weather, fitter availability and the required tyre. Contact us with your postcode and tyre details for a current estimate.
Can my punctured tyre be repaired?
Possibly. Repairability depends on the puncture’s location and size and the tyre’s internal and external condition. Sidewall and shoulder damage generally requires replacement. The tyre must be inspected before a repair is approved.
Can you fit tyres at my home or workplace?
Yes, provided the vehicle is parked on firm, level ground and there is enough space to work safely around it.
What tyre details do you need?
Send your registration number and complete tyre size. The size appears on the sidewall in a format similar to 205/55 R16 91V. A clear photograph can help us confirm it.
Do I need my locking wheel nut key?
If your vehicle has locking wheel nuts, the correct key will normally be needed to remove the wheel. Check the glovebox, boot, spare-wheel compartment and vehicle tool kit before the fitter arrives.
Do you provide wheel balancing?
Mobile wheel balancing may be available for suitable vehicles and wheels. Confirm whether balancing is included in your quotation.
Can you repair or replace TPMS sensor valves?
TPMS sensor-valve work may be available depending on the vehicle and fault. Some systems require diagnostic equipment, programming or a model-specific relearning process.
Do you stock budget and premium tyres?
Budget, mid-range and premium options may be available. The exact selection depends on your tyre size, required specification and current stock.
Can you fit run-flat or EV-compatible tyres?
This depends on the required tyre, vehicle, wheel and available mobile equipment. Send your vehicle registration and tyre markings so compatibility can be checked before dispatch.
Is roadside attendance available near the A2 or A28?
Attendance may be possible if the vehicle is in a safe and legally accessible position. If you are exposed to live traffic or stranded in a dangerous location, contact the appropriate highway, breakdown or emergency service first.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available options may include cash, card, bank transfer, Apple Pay and PayPal. Confirm the accepted payment method when booking.

Charanjit came out within 1 hour and changed 4 tyres at my site: great price and great service. 100% recommendPosted on Google A B007Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would not use Kent Mobile Tyre Services again. Our experience was extremely disappointing, not simply because they were delayed, but because of the poor communication and the way we were treated. My 91-year-old mother contacted them after suffering an emergency tyre failure. A flint had torn the tyre, and because her car does not carry a spare wheel, she was unable to continue her journey. She was initially told they would be with her within 90 minutes. Shortly afterwards, she received a text message confirming the price and the estimated 90-minute arrival time. However, that was the only communication she received. There were no updates to explain the delays, and the text came from a telephone number that did not accept incoming calls, so she couldn’t even reply to it for an update. We completely understand that the 90-minute arrival time was only an estimate and that delays can happen. What was unacceptable was that they failed to keep her informed. Every time we telephoned for an update, the estimated arrival time was pushed back again. At no point did they proactively contact her or give a realistic indication of when they would actually arrive. This left a 91-year-old lady stranded in extremely hot weather with no certainty about when help would arrive. Had we been given an honest timescale from the outset, we could have arranged alternative assistance much sooner instead of waiting on repeated assurances that they were nearly there. Eventually, after I had reached my mother, I called again and was told they were “another 15 minutes away”. By this point, after hours of changing estimates, we had lost confidence that this would be accurate, so I explained that we no longer required their services and would make alternative arrangements. I also explained my mother’s age and the circumstances she had been left in. Rather than showing any understanding, the person I spoke to became rude and said, “It’s because of people like you I think we shouldn’t take on jobs.” I found that response completely unacceptable. Delays are sometimes unavoidable, but clear communication, honest expectations and basic courtesy are not. Mobile tyre services charge a premium because people rely on them in emergencies, and customers are entitled to expect reliable communication and professional customer service. We have absolutely no objection to paying a premium for a good service. Unfortunately, this experience fell a very long way short of that. Based on our experience, I would recommend using a company that is open, honest and respectful when things don’t go to plan. If Kent Mobile Tyre Services had simply kept us updated and been honest about the likely delay, this review would probably never have been necessary.Posted on Google Annmarie DartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
